Robert “Rob” Pila has been named the Executive Director of Sunflower Springs Indian Land in South Carolina.
“When this opportunity came along, I was very excited to be considered to oversee the operation and success of Sunflower Springs Indian Land,” Rob said. “And now to be a part of the SRI Management team with their history and reputation, I’m thrilled to lead one of their brand new Assisted Living communities.”
Rob’s first taste of the senior living industry was when he was a Director of Sales and Marketing. He has most recently served as an Executive Director in an Assisted Living and Memory Care community in York, South Carolina, about 40 miles to the west of Indian Land.
For the past 12 years, the city of Indian Land is where Rob and his family have called home.
Rob has two children: A football-playing son who will graduate college with a double-major next year and a nine-year-old daughter who is considered the “old soul” of the family. Rob is proud of his children and is thankful to have a spouse who understands having a husband who is the Executive Director of a community is not always the typical nine-to-five job.
“No day is ever the same,” Rob said. “That’s what makes me enthusiastic to get to the community each day and work to make residents’ experiences the best they can have.”
When not working, Rob loves to spend time with his family and whenever possible, loves to SCUBA dive.
